As May approaches, we’ve been reflecting on a month that has felt both strategic and personal. Behind the scenes, we’ve taken big steps toward expanding our IELTS services—while staying grounded in the day-to-day work of helping students grow in confidence and skill.
This edition highlights the foundations we’ve been laying for future growth, the kinds of students we’re supporting, and how recent conversations with agents are opening new doors.
If you’re preparing for IELTS or OET in 2025, there’s something here for you.

Where We’ve Been
April has been all about building from the inside out.
Following a series of productive planning calls, we’ve focused on expanding our IELTS support services and developing stronger links with educational agents. These partnerships are helping us reach more students, particularly those planning to study in the UK.
We’ve also been refining our approach to transition support—designing new materials for students moving from GCSE to sixth form and university, and preparing course structures that will be trialled over the summer.
Website and Social Media News
Our blog has been updated with new task models and teaching insights.
Meanwhile, our LinkedIn and Twitter feeds continue to feature curated reading material to build both vocabulary and world knowledge—ideal for those aiming at Band 7 or higher.

Where Our Students Come From
This month we’ve worked with learners based in: Taiwan; Hong Kong; Shanghai, China; Manila, the Philippines; Hanoi, Johannesburg, South Africa; London, UK
Some are aiming for top-tier universities. Others are preparing for professional registration or making the transition to life and study in an English-speaking country.
Each lesson is carefully tailored—often combining exam technique with broader English development, such as academic vocabulary, pronunciation, and discussion of current events.
Student Spotlight
Several students we’ve supported this month are aiming for high-band IELTS scores for top university applications later this year. One, who wishes to remain anonymous, succeeded in getting the score they needed to stay in Australia and continue with their professional studies.
Rather than relying on textbooks, we’ve focused on strategic reading techniques, clearer writing frameworks, and vocabulary-building activities rooted in authentic materials. Others have needed help adjusting to life in English-speaking classrooms and building everyday fluency through conversation.
One-to-one coaching allows us to adapt quickly—choosing the right approach for each learner’s timeline, confidence level, and test history.
