Life is always busy at With an Expert. This month, we have been improving all our processes, putting the finishes to a new publication, and have been interviewed for a podcast.

More details below…

Where We’ve Been

This month we have begun a transition away from Google Drive. In the future, our students will have their own passworded portal on our own website.

There they will find a video recording of each lesson along with a complete set of lesson notes. This will make all lesson files safer and more accessible to our students for a longer time.

We are making the final edits to our new Task 2 book and expect to make this available for pre-purchase very soon.

Our founder was also honoured to appear on an Indian podcast called Men Who Inspire. We expect that to be published this month and will link you to it in the next edition.

Website News

As you may have noticed, we have no less than seven regular monthly and bi-monthly series — and that doesn’t include our 2 podcast titles.

We published another model answer to IELTS Writing General Task 1. This time we tackled an informal letter.

Our Task 2 question this month asks whether or not an ageing population is a good development.

In this month’s News Tracker, it’s all about what’s happening down under – and it’s good news for English speaking migrants who want to move to Australia.

Finally, you might want to check out the latest edition of our Spotlight Vocabulary series

Student Spotlight

This month we shine the light on Katsu from Japan.

Katsu struggled to get his score after performing better in class than on exam day itself. We found a way to recreate the stress of exam day when he wrote his essays, and in the end, he succeeded…

I am so happy! Thank you so much for your continuous help! It was a long journey but finally, I achieved 7.0 in the writing. I cannot thank you enough and I appreciate your cooperation so much. Now I can move on to the next step of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
