Covid has created a huge demand for skilled workers in many countries. As a result, we have been busier than ever, helping our clients to make use of their talents and emigrate abroad.
We have also been creating new products — more on that below.
Where We’ve Been
One of our main jobs this month has been editing and polishing our new IELTS Writing Task 2 book with our co-writer and former examiner in New Zealand.
The new book will soon be released on Amazon — keep your eyes open for what we believe will be a game-changer for many.
Website News
In this month’s edition of Spotlight Vocabulary, we covered the topics of Animals and Fish; Movies and TV; Communication Technology; Accommodation; Urban to Rural Migration; Problems in your Neighbourhood; Homeworking; and Food and Health (hint – you can eat whatever you like again!).
Reading this series will help to give you the vocabulary and ideas you need to answer questions in the Speaking and Writing sections of the IELTS test.
We also published a formal model letter about problems with a lecture theatre. Many people fail to get the score they need because of problems with the way they have approached their letter — or vocabulary that is not high-level enough, so we really recommend you read this one.
Our Task 2 model essay was in the double question format this month and tackled the topic of rising childbearing age.
Finally, our IELTS News Tracker focussed on the reopening of borders in the Northern hemisphere.

Student Spotlight
Success stories have been arriving faster than we can publish them.
Here is one we received from Chloé…
I just passed my IELTS with my desired scores. I would like to recommend Andy’s class. I had five lessons with Andy, and I improved my writing score from 6.5 to 7 and my speaking from 6.5 to 7.5. He is a great IELTS teacher with lots of experience.

When Can You Book An IELTS Lesson?
Our lessons are currently taking place from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm London time.
Using our online booking system, you can choose a time for our lessons that suits your busy schedule.
Please contact us early – don’t leave it too late. It takes time to master new skills, and contacting us a few days before your exam is leaving it too late!
We are also in high demand – and our schedule can sometimes be filled weeks in advance.
If you would like to meet to discuss how we can help, contact us via our contact form or through our free demo lesson page.
That’s all for September!
