The Question
Write a letter to the manager of your local bus service. They have recently made some changes to the bus services which created inconveniences for you.
In your letter, explain:
- what are the changes
- the problems you are facing
- which parts of the service you would like to change
The Answer
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to provide feedback with regard to changes to your bus service. As you know, the recent renovation work has caused significant disruption to timetabled services. The changes to the bus routes have increased my commuting time significantly.
My commute time of 30 minutes has now been extended to over two hours. Moreover, it takes me 20 minutes to walk from my home to the new bus stop. These changes mean I need to commute for almost five hours a day, which is frustrating, to say the least.
I would like to ask for more intelligent timetabling. Would it be possible to run a direct bus to the city centre that only takes passengers from New Park? Also, it would be appreciated if you could increase the number of buses operating on the route during peak hours.
