August has been another busy month as many try to get the score they need for university entrance.
Did you make the progress you need this month?
What did we do in August?
Once again, we have traversed the world several times teaching our lessons to an international candidature.
We also finished and launched a redesign of our lesson packages to make them even more effective. From September, each lesson will now be 90 minutes long – twice as long as the ‘academic hours’ offered by many schools.
A number of our current students have already switched to our new packages, and the feedback has been very positive.
Keep your eyes on our IELTS tutorials page to learn more about the new lessons. You can also read more about the unique tools we use – including our Contextual Double Correction © method and our 80/20 Grammar Genie ©.
Website News
We have added more pages to our blog this month.
The first article is a Task 2 model answer about traditional music. It was written by one of our students and would achieve at least an 8.5 on test day.
The second post is a General Writing Task 1 model semi-formal letter to a manager.
We have also added another article to our Spotlight Vocabulary series. This series curates articles with high-level vocabulary and ideas you could use on test day.
Where Our Students Come From
Every month we travel the world – in a virtual way – teaching students from all continents.
In August we taught students from…
Doha, Qatar; Karachi, Pakistan; Kolkata, India; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Toronto, Canada; Los Angeles, America; Seoul, South Korea; Hong Kong; Bucharest, Romania; New Taipei, Taiwan; Tokyo, Japan; London, England; Madrid, Spain

This month we’d like to introduce you to Bushra who received her target score this month on her first attempt…
First Time’s a Charm
Andy coached me to get a band 7.5 in my first time testing IELTS. With only 10 lessons I managed to do that with ease. I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it without his help. Definitely worth my time and money.
Bushra, Saudi Arabia
